Acrylic Tubes & Rod

Cast Plexiglas acrylic tubing can be used in a wide variety of applications, including industrial goods, scientific equipment, structural supports, pet cages, candy dispensers, storage containers, jewelry, children’s toys, and many more. ePlastics® offers Plexiglas acrylic tube in many different sizes. Clear cast acrylic tubing is stocked in sizes from 1.50" OD up to 24" OD with various inside diameters and lengths up to 72" long. Lengths over 72" require two or more tubes to be bonded together. We stock wall thickness of .125", and .250", however most manufacturers offer wall thicknesses in 0.125", 0.187", 0.250", 0.375", and 0.500" in diameters up to 48" and lengths up to 96" long. We sell these larger orders by special order only. Please email or call us for availability.

Plexiglas cast acrylic tubing is more expensive than extruded plexiglass tubing due to the way it is manufactured and the labor involved in producing and polishing the material. The difference is truly amazing and required for any high stress or pressurized environments.

Appearance:

The sleeving is not sticky. There are no lines and blots on the surface but small pellets may appear due to glass thread leeving. It’s colour is black or dark and no any clearly sign of discolouration.

Heat Resistance:

When it cools down after being kept in a box with a constant temperature of 130±2’for 24 hours and is wound around the specific mandrel. It’s coating will not crack.

Insulation Press Board

Pressboard is a special product based on the purest cellulose, extracted from long-fibered coniferous trees. These are formed into a non-woven material without using any additional binding agents and then pressed. The high chemical purity means pressboard is an extremely suitable insulation material for electrical machines (impregnated with resin), capacitors (impregnated with oil or resin) and particularly oil-filled transformers. The material properties allow classification in insulation class A (105° C) and are manufactured in accordance with the IEC standard.

Depending on the thickness of the material, a distinction is made between sheet and rolled press board.
